What: I am co-hosting a #ChopInspiration Twitter party about pork chops with the National Pork Board and The Motherhood – join us to get recipe inspiration, test your “pork chop personality,” and win prizes!

When: Thursday, May 17, 7-8 p.m. ET

Where: The party will take place on Twitter, using the #Chopinspiration hashtag.

Who: The National Pork Board (@AllAboutPork) and The Motherhood (@theMotherhood) will be hosting.

The Fabulous Finds will now have a weekly segment on #1 CT Lifestyle show BetterCT , I’ve been a contributor for 2 1/2 years, I will be featuring products and services weekly as well as showcasing “6 Fab Deals” on my “Fab Deals” segments

In my live segments for BetterCT, I feature six Fab deals that are exclusive to our viewers for two days. (The Fab Deals will be mentioned on air and the information will all be listed on thefabulousfinds.com.) When I am not showcasing “Fab Deals” I showcase Local Businesses and Beyond that I feel are a Fabulous Find. Today’s Feature on BetterCT Saybrook Country Barn

A Fabulous Jewelry Artist Find Plus GIVEAWAY!

Meet Maureen from Release Me Creations. She creates amazing and fabulous jewelry truly a Fab Find!

Biography:
In April of 2009 my husband and I moved from Pennsylvania to Fort Worth TX. It was such an exciting time for us, but on our trip down to our new home my Mom had called me and told me that my Dad was in the emergency room, and they had found cancer in his lungs. My whole world stopped. The doctors told us that he had a few months to live, which prompted me to move back home to be there with him, and to help my Mom. While I was at home, I had a lot of free time on my hands due to my Dad’s medicines helping to sleep much of the time. I found that I was becoming increasingly anxious and depressed facing my Dad’s illness, and the fact that I was losing him. And suddenly I had the urge to make jewelry. It just hit me. I cannot explain why or how. So my Mom and I hopped in the car and we went to the local craft store. And that’s where Release Me Creations began. I found that making jewelry helped to ease my stress and anxiety, and helped me to release all of the negativity and sadness I was experiencing. It quickly became a beautiful meditative process. And out of something sad and negative came something beautiful and uplifting.

My Dad passed away in January 2010. He was such a huge part of my life, and not a day goes by that I don’t miss him terribly. But I know he is proudly watching over me; I know he’s with me wherever I go. I feel so blessed with the continued growth of Release Me Creations. I recently gifted necklaces to Tori Spelling, and her two little girls, and am currently working on custom jewelry for Khloe Kardashian, which I am beyond excited about. These are opportunities afforded to be due to my membership with The Artisan Group. And I do believe I also have a guardian angel on my shoulder helping me along in my journey with the growth of my small business.

So when I’m not creating my jewelry pieces, you can find me kicking and punching people where I work…which is a martial arts school. I teach and train in Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai Kickboxing, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and I absolutely love it! I am currently a Brown Belt in Tae Kwon Do, and expect to have my Black Belt in about 11 months.
I have a loving husband, and two puppies who I adore. They give me all of the love I could ever wish for.
